Steel Building Kits

Steel building kits include a comprehensive set of all parts required to correctly assemble a steel building. They contain everything including the pre-punching of all parts, done at the factory, the pre-drilled holes, and any pre-welding that needs to occur. All bolts for joining the individual components together are also included. These components are usually designed using advanced computer-designed technology and have an excellent design accuracy record. The overwhelming percentage of all steel buildings are assembled at the job site,  so all that is required of the persons erecting the structure is the various parts in the building package in a step-by-step process. When the entire steel building package is from one professional manufacturer, the inherent structural integrity of all of the parts of the building can be guaranteed. Steel building kits are specifically designed to the exact requirements of the purchaser. All options and building codes need to be met by the manufacturer, as approved by the purchaser, in order to guarantee proper building design specification.

Most smaller sized steel building kits are designed to be so consumer-friendly that the customer himself can erect the building. Common components, such as arched panels, are shared by most steel building designs. These are the single sheet steel panels that can be raised to form the roof as well as the two sidewalls to the structure. These steel building kits can have the length of the building extended, simply by adding ,ore arches to the structure. There are base connectors utilized to attach arches and end wall panels to the concrete foundation with the use of anchor bolts.

Steel building kits come with a comprehensive manual that provides a list of all components shipped with the building package and a step-by-step process indicating the proper assembly of the structure. The kit utilizes standard sized bolts for all connections, which allows for easier construction. There are also polyethylene washers included to use to seal the bolt connections.

The doors to these kits are usually pre-drilled to fit into the framed openings on the end wall panels. These are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes. End wall panels are the wall that fit on either end of the building. They are designed to simply bolt onto the base connector and the last end arch panel. Steel framed openings are installed into the end walls for doors and windows.

Trim kits are then utilized to cover any exposed edges and supply a clean, professional finished look. Vents can be installed into the end walls or roof to allow air to circulate in the building’s interior. This reduces any dampness caused by condensation.

There are many affordable and durable options offered with steel building kits. The design specifications are such that an experienced do-it-yourselfer can assemble the building without professional help.
